Gravity is an iPhone app from Next Perfect Day. Your wellbeing choices stay on your phone. This page says what little leaves it, where it goes, and why.

What stays on your phone

The choices you note, their descriptions, notes and weights, and everything Gravity shows you about them are stored only on your iPhone. We do not receive them. They are included in your phone's own backups (iCloud or your computer) under your backup settings with Apple.

What we keep, and why

  • Your phone number, to sign you in with a code and to check that you were invited.
  • Your time zone, so a choice is placed on the day you made it.
  • The name you confirm when you join.
  • Your invitation: the name and the optional note the person who invited you wrote, and the orbit they invited you to, if any. The note is shown to you once, when you join, and is never analysed.
  • Orbits you create: the name, the optional description and whether comments are allowed, and who belongs to it, so the people in the orbit can see it.
  • People you invite to an orbit: their name and phone number, the optional line you write for them, and which orbit you invited them to, so they can sign in and join it. An invitation stops letting them in after 7 days. If you choose them from your contacts, Gravity reads only the contact you pick and keeps only that name and number. The invitation text goes from your own phone, in Messages; Gravity does not send it.
  • Orbits you join: which orbits you belong to and when you joined, so the people in each one can see you there. If you decline an invitation, it is closed and never shown to you again.

We do not sell your information, show ads, or use analytics.

Who helps us run Gravity

  • Supabase stores the account details above.
  • Twilio sends the sign-in code to your phone by text message, so it receives your phone number.
  • Apple delivers test versions through TestFlight. If you send feedback or a crash report through TestFlight, Apple shares it with us under Apple's privacy policy.
  • Vercel hosts this website and keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
